Construction Cost Estimator
Responsibilities Include:
- Candidate must be computer literate and trained in all Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Construction Specification Institute (CSI) division
- Cost estimating project take-off, product research and pricing quantity take-off, and research pricing
- Estimation and pricing of construction project and data input
- Advanced knowledge of construction practices, terminology and procedures breakdown with Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and Building System Format (BSF)
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints and project specifications
- Competency in estimating software (WinEst, MCACES MII, SUCCESS, Timberline)
- Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Ability to maintain organization in a rapidly changing environment
- Initiative, responsibility, flexibility
- Ability to operate telephone, photocopier, fax machine, computer
- Problem-solving capability
- Ability to manage and develop subordinates
- Association certifications requested
- Projects include high profile, multi-million dollar national and international construction projects
- Possible travel
Education and Experience
- Preferred – Bachelors degree in Construction Technologies, Drafting, Architecture, or Engineering
- Required – 10 years experience in construction-related industry
