Facility Planner
Responsibilities Include:
- Obtain and maintain current information for the facilities inventory; enter new and revised information into customized computerized tools; assign or classify spaces according to practices and procedures
- Coordinate and manage office moves, including project management, space planning, development of timelines, and supervision of contractors/vendors
- Develop detailed plans, policies and programs
- Supervise and coordinate efforts of planners
- Update the system and maintain the database to ensure the accuracy and timeliness
- Provide information and reports on current room utilization and square footage
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Work with maintenance, repair, janitorial, cafeteria services and upkeep of buildings, office equipment and furniture
- Coordinate work performed by staff as well as external contractors and vendors
- Must have prior experience in a facilities or construction-related field
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Compile and analyze the programming information for space needs and adjacency requirements and provide an analysis of the requirements while taking into consideration the established space guidelines and policies
- Assist Planning Manager with Strategic Tactical Planning
- Prepare facilities for occupancy by requisitioning and costing modifications
- Provide facilities planning information by answering questions and requests
- Provide project management by establishing project goals, milestones, and procedures, acquiring project budget and resources, and by providing necessary documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, etc.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Employ business planning and team performance goal tracking to ensure team is meeting or exceeding established goals and provide exemplary customer service
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly statistics and reports
- Provide scheduling coordination for routine maintenance activities and data analysis
Education
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Design, Planning, or Landscape is required
- Master's degree preferred
- At least 10 years of experience as a Planner or in Master Planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Adaptable to rapidly change environment
