Quality Assurance Inspector/Construction Coordinator Level III, IV, V
Responsibilities Include:
- Work with Project Management, Facilities Operations Managers, O&M personnel, Customer Service Office, Engineering Branch and other Facilities Management Division contractors on various issues including, but not limited to, work in occupied areas, work permits, utility outages, Utilities Control System coordination, road and/or sidewalk closures, etc.
- Serve as point of contact for field resolution of construction problems
- Schedule, organize and conduct progress meetings; write and distribute meeting minutes
- Monitor construction schedules and provide status reports as requested
- Receive submittals and Requests for Information from the Construction Administrator
- Make consolidated recommendations to the Project Manager
- Schedule and participate in Operational Readiness Reviews and punchlist inspections
- Monitor the resolution of punchlist
- Conduct constructability reviews of design plans and specifications
- Review contractor payment requests and make recommendations to the Project Manager
- Coordinate beneficial use and final inspections
- Monitor compliance with contract closeout requirements
- Interpret blueprints and job specifications
- Attend pre-construction and progress meetings
- Attend and assist with Operational Readiness Reviews and final inspections
- Keep daily report logs for all active projects
- Monitor work quality and compliance with CQC plan
- Monitor safety procedures in all construction areas
- Develop punchlist and assist with project close-out
- Issue hot work permits as needed
- Maintain contract files as required
- Inspect incoming project materials for compliance and acceptability
- Possible travel
Education and Experience
- Preferred – Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Prior Quality Assurance experience of Level III -10 years, Level IV -15 years, Level V -20 years
- Evidence of completing a Quality Assurance/Quality Control education class sponsored by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
- Certification for OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Course
